DC Comics Character Bling

This past week saw the MAGIC convention tear through Las Vegas, and no, despite the name, it's not filled with rabid fanboys dressing as David Blaine and David Copperfield duking it out in front of the digital slot machines. It's a convention for apparel companies to show off their wares to buyers for the upcoming seasons, and The Wife™ gets to go because she just so happens to be a designer herself. This year saw a huge dip in attendance, apparently, but she still came home with a few gems from the licensed product booths, not the least of which was the GTO Designs booth which features a metric ton of DC Comics product. The best part: they have a nice selection of character stuff aside form the pre-requisite Superman and Batman, including Green Lantern, Flash and yes, Wonder Woman.

Bit of a sidenote here, before we get to the pics, why is it not painfully obvious to DC that the Green Lantern concept is one that the public at large could easily get behind in a huge way? I mean, come on - it's the perfect everyman "That Could Be Me" concept, there's a plethora of characters, male and female, for fans to get into, and you could even afford to do the special effects on a live action TV show, if you wanted to go that route...

Sorry - pain meds got me a little loopy. Here's some of the GL, Flash and Wonder Woman stuff you can get. More after the jump, natch.

I whole heartedly agree that GL would make a great movie concept that then branches into GL Corps for TV. You are not alone in that my friend.

    *drools* Green Lantern Shwag. *Drools*

I would love to see a Green Lantern Corps TV shows it would be alot of fun, the issue I can see is it would either need to be animated or have a lot of alien costumes.

You would have to be careful to do it correctly, not that the comics have always done so.
