Planning to indoctrinate your kids into the wonderful world of G.I. Joe by way of this summer's live action movie (which we've all been waiting for, nay, anxiously anticipating for the better part of 20 years)? Well, you probably won't be wanting to start just yet. They've just announced the release of the first figures from the movie, and they're not only available only as online exclusives, but they're also generic Cobra M.A.R.S. troopers instead of something really cool.
That's actually probably for the best, really - it's easier to skip buying the cannon fodder, especially at $25 for three figures (plus shipping). I'd imagine there'd be outright rioting if Hasbro decided to offer Snake Eyes or Stormshadow as an online only deal. Hell, I'm all but done with buying any action figures at all these days, and I'm tempted by the idea of these guys.

Not an online exclusive. They're on the shelves at Wal-Mart and Toys R Us...

Dunno what to tell you - the email Hasbro sent out had ONLINE EXCLUSIVE all over it. Mayhaps someone erred...?
