iTunes Store eComics Rankings

I'm thinking that this may actually become a regular feature, if for no other reason than I'm fascinated with it. Maybe it's the fact that comic books are regularly ranking this high against regular ebooks, or maybe I'm just being oddly obsessive. Let's assume it's the former, ignore the latter over there in the corner and take a look.

It's no surprise that IDW's Star Trek comics are selling well, taking 4 of the top ten spots in the iTunes store, with a few more spots filled up between 11 and 25. What is interesting is that, out of the blue, we have two Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle entries in the top 25, both of which were released late last year. I wonder if that's a reaction to the rumors of a new live action flick potentially going into production. Whatever the case, more power to Mirage.

ATOMIC ROBO has dropped out of the top of the charts, but still shows up at a respectable #33 for issue 6. After that, we have another Star Trek entry at 36, with PROOF #6, NEOZOIC #4, HEXED #2, THE RED STAR #3 and FARSCAPE #2 all coming in before we finish the top 50.
