Last time I pointed out one of the strips at Let's Be Friends Again, I got called out in both creators' Twitter feeds for having given them a somewhat back-handed compliment, though that was never my intent. Honestly, I like the strip! It's just that, as with any creative endeavor of this sort, some results will inevitably be better than others, with the latest being another checkmark in the Incredibly Awesome category.
I've always been an unabashed fan of Peanuts, especially of the first few years worth of the strip. Even as a kid, I preferred my collected editions of the comic that featured Schulz's earlier work, with the first strip in particular always standing out in my mind's eye. So, when I saw it reworked as a Spider-Man strip, my heart grew about three sizes.
Ways in which this is awesome:
1 - This is without a doubt, my favorite Peanuts strip ever.
2 - Subbing in Spidey, Norman Osborne and even the Sentry for the original Peanuts cast is perfect.
3 - Summarizing nearly 50 years of continuity and character development into a 4-panel strip which is in and of itself simply a reworking of an existing strip, including leaving nearly all of the original dialogue intact while maintaining the characters' body positions.
I'm not sure what either the Schulz estate or Marvel's stance would be on selling copies of this as a print, but I'd sure love one. Maybe offering it to readers as a nice, hi-=res download, even...?
Here's the full version of the O.G. strip below, in case you're unfamiliar with it.

Oh, I figured as much - I was more shocked that someone I linked to saw and responded with a link back! That happens very rarely, and it was a pleasant surprise.
Looking forward to a (possible) version on my wall, here.
