- THE DARK KNIGHT hit another milestone this weekend, even before Heath Ledger won his posthumous Oscar. The film passed the $1 billion mark on Friday, with a total box office haul of $1,001,082,160 at that point. It's not the fourth movie in history to break the milestone, after TITANIC, LotR: RETURN OF THE KING and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST.

- It seems as if Scholastic's Klutz imprint lifted an idea for a book off the internet, and didn't give anyone credit. We're not quite sure why anyone would a) think that that's a good idea and b) think that they could actually get away with it nowadays.
