Last month, The Kid™ and her entire pre-school class held an art exhibit to show off the various pieces they'd been working on over the course of the previous year. She had only been in attndance for about 6 months at that point, but she still had plenty of pieces on display, including a flower painting, a ladybug sculpture and a self portrait that kind of resembles a dog. All in all, it was a great little show with a set up and work that rivaled those I've been to that featured professional artists. Seriously.
One of the features that I dug about the show was that, whenever possible, the teachers obviously let the kids get involved, down to naming the various exhibit sections. My favorite was the scratch art display below.
Not only is scratch art just plain awesome, the name that the kids gave this area of the show raises it to pure bad-ass. Kudos, little guys and gals. KUDOS.
