As much as I hate to admit it, there are certain Star Wars characters that will probably never, ever be uncool. Chewbacca, Han Solo and, of course, R2-D2. Of these three, R2 is easily the most awesomest as well as the most adaptable to unique and cool products. Case in point, this R2-D2 aquarium that PetSmart is selling for the holidays. It's not showing up on their website as of this writing, so I'm sharing all the pertinent info I could find here.
UPDATE: If you really want to order this bad boy online and don;t ind paying a ridiculous premium, it's available for $130 at Hammacher Schlemmer.
UPDATE THE SECOND: Petco has added it to their website for $80. Boop boop beep boop beep!

This was in the flyer last week. I'm glad I wasn't the only nerd who noticed it. If I didn't already have a 40 gallon tank in the house perhaps I'd be able to convince my wife it would be great for my son's room as a night light. He loves watching the fish in both the real tank and the motion tank with the fake plastic fish. Imagine falling asleep to the warm glow of R2D2.
