Having a daughter that's still just under three and a half years old, I know very little about Twilight. I get that it's basically a series (trilogy?) of novels based in the lucrative emo-vampires genre, with characters who are either currently in their teens or were turned as teenagers. I know that the first movie looked so over the top, I can't even bring myself to drop a buck on a Rad Box rental. I'm also aware that millions of teenage girls disagreed with me to the tune of something like $400 million, and the two sequels were greenlit almost immediately after the first movie was released.
I also know, thanks to Entertainment Weekly's online presence, that Yen Press has landed the rights to produce a series of manga-style graphic novels based on the books and characters. Reportedly, Stephanie Meyer, the books' creator, is "deeply immersed" with the comic book process, so I can only assume that fans of the series will be pretty pleased with the final result. What this means for the already Twilight-heavy programming at CCI next weekend remains to be seen, but I'm sure it's not going to be pretty!
