At $399, the Kindle is still too pricey for my wallet, but man, this looks promising. Sure, it's in black, white and gray, but still, there's no denying that these screenshots appear to be pretty darn promising. I'll even go so far as to say that maybe - MAYBE - reading WATCHMEN in B&W might make for a genuinely interesting and worthwhile experience. Maybe.

Despite how solid this appears, the writer of the article doesn't really get into specifics about how the books look beyond some photos and the comment that he'd still prefer to use his iPhone for comic reading, though as Andrew's pointed out, that's still somewhat tedious at best. I may test this for myself soon, if I get that Touch I[ve been saving for, but we here at Nerd Dads are still keeping our fingers crossed for Apple to announce their ineviatable entrance into the eBook fray sooner rather than later.

I could see APPLE making an all-in-one device that has all the functions of an IPOD TOUCH with the Reader of a Kindle.

Black and white... although I would so much prefer it to be in color, but I know it is the limitation of kindle ebooks at the moment. Hope a color version of kindle would come up very soon!
