From what I read, there are two versions. One with detachable legs, and one with non-detachable legs. I read that any table with a purple "door" (not sure what that means, since I haven't seen this table in person or any close up pictures), has detachable legs. The ones with green doors don't. I'd like to get this table for my 7 month old, but I am not going to get it if the legs don't detach. I need something that will be easy to store away when not in use.

OH boy this toy is confusing!
finally after making the mistake on putting the legs without knowing that was so hard to detach them!
(my baby girl is 6 mos. so, she can't stand by herself yet!).
People, you gotta use a flat screwdriver and insert it from the outside and push in a little switch that you'll see and have another person pull the leg out while you are pushing that lil' switch! THAT'S IT.

good luck!

That's interesting. We too bought this toy for our little man and the legs are detachable.

My son got this for Christmas and he loves playing with it. Unfortunately we found out after we put the legs in that they don't actually detach. It says it clearly on the box "detach legs to play on the floor". I even contacted technical support and they told me to press the switches in on the leg toward the center of the table. Needless to say, that didn't resolve the situation because there were no switches. Just a heads up, Fisher Price makes a comparable table and about the same price (with detachable legs).

Andrew, The Boy™ got this same table when he was The Squirt's™ age. I can't tell you about why the legs could not be removed and yeah, he need a f/t parent with him when he was playing with it but man, did he love being able to get Cheerios out of that little compartment right next to the book. I think that he played with that table for a good 8-12 months.
